This floor
The dining area is furnished with seating for six while the relatively simple yet fully-fitted kitchen is well-equipped with everything necessary for easy self-catering.
There are two very nice bedrooms on this level - a very comfortable master bedroom overlooking the Grand Canal and with a double bed (this can be made into twins - simply ask when booking) and an up-to-date en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over, plus a second bedroom also with fabulous Grand Canal views and a very romantic antique 'French' size bed.( one person or two very cosy)
Also on this floor are two further bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a shower and a washing machine for added convenience.
A wooden staircase leads up to the third bedroom - a cosy 'top of the house' retreat with characterful twin beds which can also be made into a double (please ask when booking) and from which a further very short wooden staircase allows guests access to what must be one of the most wonderful and highly-prized features of the entire property - an amazing furnished 'altana' roof terrace with breathtaking views at every turn, from the Campanile at St.Mark's to the Teatro La Fenice, from the tilting tower of Santo Stefano to the domes of Santa Maria Della Salute and from the atrium of Palazzo Grassi to San Polo, over partial glimpses of the Grand Canal.
Location:Close to Campo Santo Stefano, the Accademia Bridge/ Academy of Fine Arts and less than two minutes walk to the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art in an exclusive area known for its antique shops and galleries. Everyday needs are met by a grocery/ delicatessen, wine shop, restaurants, wine bars and cafes, while two nearby vaporetto stops (San Samuele - Line 2 and Sant' Angelo - Line 1) and 'Traghetto' service allow for easy travel around the city (the latter ferrying passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal between Calle Del Tragheto near Sant' Angelo and San Toma in the district of San Polo).*
