Villa Lago

The beautiful villa in Tuscany is some 570 sqm, (5700 sq ft)and can accommodate up to 14+2 people, is spread over 3 floors for a total of 8 bedrooms (of which 7 are doubles and 1 is twin) with excellent ensuite facilities.
All rooms have the floors of hand made Umbrian tile and the walls are hand painted in natural colours.

Ground Floor:
The ground floor consists of: a large living room with fireplace, sofa, cable TV and DVD player; a study room with library; a bright dining room with wooden table for 14 people.

The kitchen, made with cherry wood cabinets, is very well equipped with breakfast table, microwave oven, two dishwashers and a large fridge with freezer. Adjacent to the kitchen there is a space that serves as a pantry/laundry room with washing and drying machines.

Also on this floor is a small guest bathroom, located under the staircase leading to the first floor, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom (with shower and bath) and fitted wardrobes.

First Floor:
On this floor there are five spacious ensuite bedrooms (3 with bathtub and 2 with shower), each very nicely decorated and hand-painted with natural colours, and a cosy sitting area with sofa, Swedish stove and panoramic veranda.

Second Floor:
This area is a mansard attic with lovely parquet flooring, consisting of two small guest double bedrooms with shared bathroom and wooden floors and a games room with pool table.

  There is a lovely level garden with swimming pool that has stunning views of Lago Trasimeno. The garden also hosts a beautiful relaxing area around the swimming pool and a cooking area fully equipped to prepare a delicious barbecue or a tasty pizza in the wood burning oven.

  Location/Distances: This villa in Tuscany is situated near the town of Cortona, made famous by the Frances Mayes book "Under the Tuscan Sun" (read it before you come!) It is in an ideal location, on the border between Tuscany and Umbria, from here you can easily reach the famous tourist destinations of Tuscany: Siena, Montepulciano, Montalcino,Pienza, Cortona and beyond to Chianti. Parking at the nearby train station is free, to reach Florence within an 1.15 hrs. Don't forget Umbria, the neighbouring province, here you find Perugia,( Etruscan history, Chocolates!) Assisi,( of St Francis fame) and Orvieto. If you head to Montalcino and Pienza, don't forget to visit the beautiful Val d'Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there is a wonderful Abbey where the monks still pray by chanting, a 'don't miss' spot.
  
  A 5/10 minutes by car from the villa you will find several services and facilities: restaurant, grocery store, hospital, train station, churches,beautician, wellness center.
