This unique villa is located in the wine district of Piedmont, northern Italy. Set amidst the vineyards, the villa enjoys a breathtaking view of the beautiful local castles , the Alps and the hills of Monferrato.
The ancient town of Alba, the capital of the white truffle and Barolo wine is at short drive, while the nearest village, one of the three towns of the Barbaresco wine district and ranked among the 100 most beautiful villages in Italy, is just 4 miles away from the villa.
Vacation Property Details
This villa is striking, on arrival you see the gorgeous garden , dominated by the pink geraniums and hydrangeas. The unique architecture of this golden yellow villa, boasts a tower, ( the climb is worth the stunning view of vineyards and the alps beyond).
There are two large terraces, perfect places for relaxation, with a life size chess board, the covered area is lush with pink hydrangeas, a wonderful place to sit with your evening wine, or simply to relax after a day of visits. The beautiful garden is overlooking the swimming pool of 60 square meters surrounded by large Art Nouveau windows that you can open in Summer creating an outdoor use of the pool.
The interiors are elegant and adorned with classic-style furniture skilfully combined with an exotic one and precious fabrics by the bright colors. Each room shows great attention to detail, a passion for color and a personal eclecticism in style.
The common rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort. Among these is a charming breakfast room;(decorate in an amazing creative art work - the story of Little Red Riding Hood, is painted on all the walls and ceiling, you truly feel you are part of the forest, you see the blackberries on the brambles, the flowers and the big bad wolf!
There is a large living room with direct access to the patio, beautifully furnished with antiques and wonderful lush fabrics;
the billiard room, the well-stocked library and a small bar area get from the woodwork of a small abandoned theater.
A large and fully equipped kitchen is located at the ground floor, with direct access to the garden. This is the ideal place for cooking all together and have some special cooking class with local chef. On the same floor, and adjacent to the kitchen, is a small cellar carved in the tuffa which houses best bottles of local wine production and where is possible to arrange special private wine tastings with local sommeliers.
At this villa there are seven bedrooms, ( six in the main building and one at the adjacent Grand Terrace) all individually decorated in authentic “liberty’ style, elegant and tastefully decorated with different colors, styles and furnishings. We are talking about rooms of authentic and refined atmosphere where you can truly appreciate a era now gone, the owner’s passion for retaining the beauty of the art deco era, in a truly unique, eclectic and personal style – must be seen.
When I first visited I was blown away by this villa, the photos simply don’t do it jsutice.
All rooms are equipped with bath / shower, satellite TV, mini bar, change of linen and towels every three days and room service on request.
Each morning an abundant and delicious breakfast with local specialties is served in the breakfast room or on the patio, during the summer season.
