Ground Floor The ground floor has a totally modern and built-in kitchen with several sets of top-notch dishes and plenty of pots and pans. The kitchen is a delight to cook in. There is a chopping block/table in the centre, and lots of space for several cooks. There is also a breakfast table with chairs at one end of the kitchen.
The dining room has a traditional Provencal open fireplace and a dining table with 6 chairs. The living room has 2 sofas, 2 reading chairs, TV, and a view of Mont Ventoux.

Stairs lead upstairs to two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a full ensuite bathroom with a combination bathtub/standing shower, sink, and WC.
The 2nd bedroom has a double bed and bathroom with shower, sink & WC.
The 3rd bedroom has 2 single beds plus a bathroom with shower, sink and WC. All bathrooms are modern and well equipped, there is even a magnifying makeup mirror in the master bath, which is typical of the amenities and attention to detail and comfort found in this villa.
In addition, there are excellent reading lights in all the bedrooms, another important detail and convenience.

This villa rental in Provence has a large private pool (12mx5m)with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs around the pool and a pool house with a view of the neighbouring vineyards, fields, and the hilltop villages of Crillon le Brave and Le Barroux, dominated by Mount Ventoux.
The pool house and terrace also offer a dining table, built-in barbeque, sink, and half-bath with shower. The house is beautifully set on 1 hectare of land with olive trees and a cherry orchard. Villa Caromb is well set back from the road and situated down a long driveway, so it's very quiet and peaceful. There are a couple of huge trees in front of the house, with the pool and cherry orchard beyond. At the back of the house there is an olive grove, a potager, and a lockable bike shed.
The caretaker lives next door and is charming and available for household assistance if required.
The garden is spectacular, particularly in May and June when the roses climb up the front of the house, and the iris bordering the walkway to the pool are in bloom. As a real bonus, the cherries in the orchard are ripe for picking.

t's an easy walk from Villa Caromb into the village in the morning for croissants and pastries. There is a grocery and butcher in Caromb, in addition to the bakery, and several good restaurants. Caromb is about 8 miles northeast of Carpentras which boasts a famous outdoor market, and one of the oldest synagogues in Europe. There are many good restaurants in the surrounding villages, and a large supermarket is available in nearby Carpentras.

Caromb is ideally located to explore and enjoy the Vaucluse region. It is an easy drive to the Roman ruins at Vaison la Romaine and it summer music festival, and less than an hour to Aix en Provence and the picturesque villages in the Luberon including, Gordes, Bonnieux, Menerbes, Isle sur la Sorge, Roussillon etc. Most of the great vineyards of the Cote du Rhone are within a 15 minute drive. Excellent area for cycling and hiking.

The owners have a completely separate and sound proofed private suite on the top floor of the house, which is blocked off from the main house, and has a private entrance and driveway at the rear of the house. On occasion, the owners stay at their completely private suite for a couple of weeks, generally in May and October. Guests will not even know they are there, since the main house faces the front of the property overlooking the pool, terraces, and garden.
Guests always have exclusive use of the pool and garden, and have a separate driveway and entrance at the front of the property. The owners are very discreet and very respectful of guests privacy, and their occasional visits do not in any way affect guests privacy and enjoyment of this lovely rental property.

Our trip was great. The house was lovely, and we particularly enjoyed the gardens and the flowers, and dining outdoors.
