Vacation Property Details

As you enter from the street, the front door in opens to welcomes you to the spacious entrance room with open fire place. This is an ideal place to escape from the sun and have your aperitif. A doorway leads to the fully equipped ground floor kitchen, with original stone floor and the root cellar. A wonderful kitchen complete with copper pots - makes for some great photo opportunities as you cook your market finds.
The main kitchen is full of cook books and most of the utensils you will need to cook up a storm. The owner keeps the kitchen stocked with all that a cook should need on holidays in Provence


The dining room with a 4 metre long dinning table seating up to 12 people offers direct access to the garden. At the rear of the dining room with its 5 meter high ceiling is an open "cave" - that's french for cellar .

Returning back through the entrance room is the staircase that leads to the first floor.
First Floor The main bedroom is at the front of the house and offers a spectacular view of Mont Ventoux and the countryside. Overlooking the garden on one side and the dining room on the other is the mezzanine. Here you can withdraw to read a book or take a nap.
On the other side of the landing is the second bedroom, with original stone wall and an own sitting area.
On this floor is a good size bathroom with a shower with a separate toilet.

Second Floor:
Here you will find the main living room, which leads directly to the terrace on the same level. The separate ( smaller) kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, electric oven, gas top and fridge.

Adjoining the kitchen is the second entrance to the house, from here you can access the third bedroom and adjoining bathroom, with shower, bath and toilet. This bathroom also has access to the living room.
From the terrace you have views of the village rooftops, the Chateau of Barroux and the vineyards in the valley below. This floor has its own entrance to the village street behind.

Third Floor
Enjoy the view over the village rooftops and Chateau du Barroux from the sun room which is also another dinning area with panoramic views over to the Mont Ventoux and the Chateau rising up majestically behind. Adjoining is a mezzanine with a day bed.

Outside areas
At the Ground floor level you find a delightful courtyard although not outside - it has the feeling of a garden courtyard - with table and chairs, for cool aperitif in the afternoon. There is the terrace on the 2nd floor for some great sunning opportunities - or just a glass of wine in the evening.

Location:Barroux is a charming picturesque village, a real 'quintessential' village in Provence.
Le Barroux has kept its historic charm thanks to the absence of commercial activity. The village offers an excellent restaurant with a splendid outdoor dining area, a cafe with a small menu close to the house, a store for basic supplies like your morning "baguette“ and a post office.
On Saturday morning there is a market in the village selling all food and Provencal goods. The surrounding villages such as Caromb, offer all shopping facilities you may need during your stay: supermarket, bakery, butcher, vegetable shop, pharmacy, bank etc.
