Note:NB/The bedrooms are split between the main house (bedrooms 1 and 2), and the little house (bedrooms 3, 4 and 5). The 2 houses are only 5 meters apart, but are each individually locked at night. This makes it perfect for 2 families who want to share a holiday but also have some space of their own. Note however that bedroom 2 is really a single room: it has a pull-out bed to make a double bed if needed, but then the room feels rather small (which is OK for children or for a young couple, but not suitable for more elderly people). Note also that room 5 has bunk beds. We have 2 travel cots and 2 high chairs available

Mas des Anges is close to the wonderful village of Saignon - It consists of a charming blond stone house made out of two buildings separated by a terrace sheltered from the Mistral wind.
It is actually two shepherd dwellings, several hundred years old and renovated in great taste with comfort and lifestyle in mind, the main aim of capturing the light and best use of space has been fully reached.

A narrow road winds up the hills along lavender fields and between oak trees. The house is situated just below this little road. It is attached to another large house but isolated from it by a thick cypress hedge. The neighbour is apparently very discreet, absolutely charming and very helpful! Despite his presence (he is a bachelor) there is total privacy.
The first house features a huge L shaped living room with much space and light: it is both kitchen and dining room with, in a corner, a small sitting area to read, have a drink or share, from a distance, the cooking tasks.
From the small sitting area you get to the actual lounge with a beautiful fire place, two windows facing south towards the garden and a glass door opening onto the patio area. Typical Southern decoration with shades of beige and sand, white and bright red.

A side staircase leads up to the bedrooms:
A double room with a 1.60m bed and windows facing south on the garden and the central courtyard which is the main entrance to the property.
A second children bedroom with a 90cm drawer bed which can be turned into a much larger bed. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with one hand wash basin, a bath and WC.

In the second building there is the Master bedroom which is a wonderful huge room, very comfortable and peaceful with a 1.60m double bed with wrought iron canopy. A glass door and large, deep window overlook the garden, a little away from the main activity centre of the house. Just before the master bedroom there is the bathroom with a pretty antique bath, wash basin and W.C and the dressing room. The decoration is very feminine and almost a little Kitsch, with lovely crystal chandeliers.
On the first floor which is reached by the staircase, its style and shape a witness to the age of the building, are sleeping quarters with a small sitting and dressing room and two bedrooms.
The floor is made of wood and beautiful ancient “tomettes” tiles. On one side is a room with twin beds and on the other a room with bunk beds. These two rooms share a shower room, hand basin and WC.

The kitchen side faces a patio area reached through sliding doors. This kitchen is very light and very well fitted with American type refrigerator, micro wave, electric oven , gas cooker, coffee machine, toaster etc… the central island worktop is also used for storage .It is cheerfully decorated with red ceramic tiles and an old style sink with two stoneware tubs.
Close by there is the pantry with an extra Fridge Freezer, a washing machine and dryer as well a separate toilets, a shower and a sink.

The patio, which offers uninterrupted views over the Luberon, is sheltered by a very designer looking canvas cover sliding on metal strands. There is a large table for meals as well as a built in BBQ in a corner.
Between the kitchen and the sitting area of this Loft style room there is the dining area with a beautiful large farmhouse table to sit numerous guests.
