Badia Forresteria

This apartment forms part of a beautiful ancient Abbey, located on an historic estate in the heart of Tuscany. It is the first wine "resort" in Chianti, opening it's doors to travellers and visitors who want to share a truly unique experience. Here it is possible to encounter the magic of a venue, to observe the slow yet intense rhythm of a 1000 year old abbey and farm and to sleep in history.

Guests can rest and relax in the magnificent (Renaissance) Italian style garden or, during the summer months, around the large open-air swimming pool. At 650 meters above sea level summers are temperate and the villa naturally cool in the evenings. 800 hectares of forests, crisscrossed with walking or mountain biking paths provide for a pristine natural backdrop.

Forresteria Placed in the highest part of the main wing of the Abbey, can host 4 persons: it is composed of a double bedroom (double or twin upon request), and another double room (double or twin upon request).

The first double has a large bathroom, with bathtub and shower, the other double room has a private en-suite bathroom,
There is a little balcony, with views into the XVIII courtyard.

The apartment has a well equipped little kitchen.

Amenities:Facilities for house guests include internet point and 10% reduction on all meals taken at the onsite restaurant, or enrollment in a day cooking class.

Badia Forresteria has been a fantastic stay; my greatest regret is that we have not gotten to spend more time here as we spent today in Florence and yesterday going up to Bologna and Modena (the latter to tour the Lamborghini car factory). Your information has been superb and we are deeply appreciative. :-) We are excited at the next leg of our journey in Cinque Terre! Eric and Madison
