This sunny, south facing property offers living quarters opening along a terracotta-tiled terrace. Large windows heavily shuttered. A large square beamed covered terrace situated close to the kitchen allows for outdoor living while protecting from the strong sunshine.
Under this blond wood canopy there is a lovely sun lounge. A sofa and armchairs. Cane, wrought iron and wood furniture all combine to give a pleasant lived in and cosy atmosphere. Two long tables, of teak wood and wrought iron allow numerous guests to eat outside in separate groups if preferred: children on one table and parents on the other for example. A double wrought iron side door opens directly into the kitchen for convenience access and service.

The kitchen is a delightfully light room. Built in the traditional style everything is easily at hand. Cupboard doors are painted almond green.
The kitchen equipment is of high quality with a large steel coloured refrigerator, 4 gas ring cookers with one electric oven and a microwave/traditional oven. There is a double stone sink unit, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine and storage units.

There are some English pine pieces of furniture. Near a window opening onto the front of the house there is a wide natural wood table with wrought iron base seating over 10 people.
This kitchen opens up widely onto the lounge that occupies the whole width of the house. Two arched double wrought iron French windows face each other in the lounge; one opens up onto the south side and one onto the north side, which is the back of the house. Natural linen curtains hang from wrought iron rail.
A mellow and soothing impression is given by the floor and the ceiling that run through the length of the house to the limits of the common rooms, the ceiling is beamed French style and the floor is terracotta in shades of ochre. Two camel coloured sofas, a light brown leather club armchair and a wooden low table provide a harmonious setting. In a corner stands a small natural metal finish round table; further along a book case runs the whole length of the north side wall. An antique earthenware jar filled with dried flowers nestles under the staircase. The cupboards have beautiful traditional wooden doors, typical from the Aix area. The antique fireplace is made of Beaucaire stone. Paintings and drawings are casually scattered, either hanging on a wall or resting on a piece of furniture.

Further along the bookcase features some real treasures left for the enjoyment of whomever wishes to browse amongst them (and who will obviously have the kindness to put them back at their place before leaving! Thank you). Then there is a pretty wooden door opening onto a corridor with doors from it leading to 2 bedrooms and guest cloakroom and also to the back of the property.

The " Marrakech " bedroom features a double bed ( 1.60m) with sculpted wooden headboard and a pretty raspberry coloured bedspread, some clever pieces of furniture and objects and an orangey -pink bathroom. The French windows open up directly onto the terrace and garden. The en-suite bathroom has shower and bath with orange tinted taps and a washbasin.

The "Saffron" bedroom at the end of the corridor has very high ceiling. The double bed is 1.60m wide. The French windows open onto the terrace and garden and there is a window facing east. The en suite shower room with washbasin is in the same strong hues. There is a pretty corner cabinet.
The staircase with wrought iron handrail leads to the first floor. At the top, on the right hand side there is the "Provence" bedroom with a 1,80m x 2m bed, very large and beautifully light it has high ceilings with natural wooden beams. Two windows face South onto the garden and one window East from where you can see the Sainte Victoire mountain.
The colours are shades of raspberry, mustard yellow and almond green with pretty and fun painted furniture full of character. The en-suite bathroom has natural light and is in shades of mustard yellow, it features separate bath and shower cubicle, toilet and double washbasin unit. On the floor there is a Kilim rug in matching tints.

The "Mirror" room is slightly smaller in size but just as spacious with its high ceiling. This bedroom is just as soothing as the others. Two windows, one facing the front of the house and the other one on the West side. Colour scheme of pale yellow and off-white. Joint twin beds, a signed Louis XVI chest of drawers, pretty painted side tables and an imposing mirror on the floor against a wall furnish the room. The en-suite shower room has a washbasin and toilet. There is a Napoleon III style chair.
At the back of the house a huge room will eventually become the "Orangerie", that is a conservatory and summer room. Being north facing it offers shelter whenever the sun becomes too strong at the height of summer and allows for lunch in the cool shade.
