    Vacation Property Details

A recently renovated manor house nestling amongst the hills with wide shuttered windows and French windows on its golden coloured façade, facing south under the watchful gaze of large trees.
A small country road winds its way through the vineyards, away from the village of Lambesc which is almost walking distance from the house… From the automatic gates at the entrance of the property a gravelled alley bordered by century old trees leads to the house…. You pass an unused well, buried under masses of ivy and a small promontory planted with pine trees and featuring a flower covered arbour….

Through a beautiful heavy wooden door you enter a wide warmly coloured lobby. There is genuine period cement tiles on the floor and a majestic staircase with a stunning wrought iron ramp leading to the top floor were the rooms are situated.

From the entrance: On the right hand side there is a spacious lounge, decorated in soft colours and elegantly and comfortably furnished with all its windows and French windows opening out onto the gravelled alley under the plane trees.
There is wooden flooring, a fireplace, bookcases, a home cinema and a piano.
At the far end of the lounge a door leads to a small entrance situated to the rear of the house; the hidden staircase starting from the “Turquoise” bedroom and also leading to the “dormitory” and the “Studio” takes you down to this entrance.

On the left hand side and through wide double doors you get to a small TV lounge with windows onto the main façade and a fireplace; it communicates via a few steps with a dining room (which used to be the “orangerie” green house), widely lit by a real wall of glass and directly linked to a huge and very well appointed kitchen.
The dining room and kitchen open out through glass doors directly onto a side terrace perfectly fitted out for meal times and lazy hours with garden furniture as beautiful as it is comfortable.
The kitchen is a large, harmonious and light space totally dedicated to the pleasures of cooking; there are comfortable worktops and high quality appliances and fittings and it extends into a laundry /store room with washing machine, dryer, sink ,small refrigerator and storage cupboards leads on from the kitchen.
Further on from this store room you get back to the entrance lobby of the house where a guest toilet has been installed close by, under the stairs.

Up the large staircase up towards the landing. A long corridor with a traditional floor of red hexagonal tiles leads on to all the bedrooms situated on either side; 4 of these bedrooms face the front of the house, one faces the rear of the house and overlooks the tennis court, there are also some toilets and at the end of the corridor a shower room.
The “Ochre” bedroom has windows opening out to the front of the house. The decoration features harmonious tones of terracotta and beige. a few steps to an en-suite bathroom with mosaic tiles; there is a bath, wash hand basin and WC. The furniture is pretty and there are painted and distressed cupboard doors. The double bed is 1,60m wide.
The “Pearl grey” bedroom also faces south. This lovely, softly coloured bedroom, all in tones of white and grey has twin beds. The shower room at the end of the corridor as well as the nearby toilets are for this bedroom.
The “Camel” bedroom has a 1,60m double bed and is a large master bedroom with a marble fire-place which is reached through double doors.
Two French windows open out onto a wrought iron balcony on the front of the house. The floor is painted and features a colourful Kilim rug. The furniture is discreet and elegant. The harmonious decoration is in tones of off-white and toffee with just a touch of beige, which gives a very “Zen” like atmosphere to this calm and peaceful room.
The large bathroom is very light with a big window opening out to the front. There is a long double wash hand basin with twin taps, a separate bath and shower, tiled with miniature glass squares, a dressing table and separate WC. A lovely light and bright setting.
The “Turquoise” bedroom has south facing windows and is subtly decorated in refined tones of turquoise and fawn brown. Double bed, 1.60m, en-suite mosaic tiled shower room. Next to the prettily painted chest of drawers, underlined in turquoise colour, there is a door that opens onto a hidden staircase that leads down to the ground floor where there is a heavy door opening out to the rear of the “Manoir” and where access to the main lounge is situated, as well as the door to the “Studio» room.

On the right hand side, at the bottom of the staircase the “Studio” bedroom is decorated in tones of tobacco brown. It is an independent bedroom with private access to the rear of the house through French windows. There is a comfortable sitting area with Morris armchairs, a 1.60m double bed and a mosaic tiled en suite shower room with a wash hand basin and toilet. Pretty wardrobe doors.

The grounds are flat and huge, with different styles of landscaping and atmosphere: sometimes it is Mediterranean and sometimes it is more like an English garden full of nooks and crannies and little paths winding between the tall trees , but above all it offers a large flat area with majestic plane trees just above the swimming pool which is reached through an antique wrought iron gate. Down a few steps and you get to the pool area itself, with lavender borders and orchards nearby.
There is an imposing dry stone pool house with a summer kitchen: sink, dish washer, small refrigerator and storage facilities. Close by there is a built-in BBQ, a shower and in a little room newt to it a hand basin full of character and a toilet.

The outdoor pool chairs and dining furniture are in harmony with the surroundings and all made with materials as comfortable as they are elegant. The tennis court is to the rear of the Manoir in a part of the grounds bordered at its end by a stunning row of cypresses. It has been entirely refurbished a few months ago and uses synthetic grass, a practice wall has also been installed.

This part of the grounds, at the rear, offers many areas suited to leisurely passing the time and dreaming, sitting on a charming little painted wrought iron bench. The caretakers’ house is at the back of the property.
Please note: - There is an irrigation pool close to the swimming pool which can represent a danger to unattended children. - Some lovely dogs live on site and therefore pets are not allowed. - Children are welcome under the supervision of their parents or nannies.
