  Located on a lovely small square, just 5 min. walk from Accademia, 10 min to San Marco, Rialto Bridge; there is a good grocery/deli shop at the corner, a small restaurant at one end of the square and some interesting artists studios. Nice quiet area. Directly opposite the gallery of world famous Venetian wood sculptor Livio De Marchi.
  Nearby there are two vaporetto stops just minutes away along with a ‘Traghetto’ gondola ferry which, during operating times (please check before making your journey) carries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal between Calle Del Tragheto (near Sant’ Angelo) and San Toma in the district of San Polo.

  Note: There is no lift, but stair case is steep but short.

We stayed here while visiting Venice - nice large apartment, comfortable furniture, perfect for two couples or a family - Great location.
Thank you for everything that you did to make our visit to Venice as wonderful as we had hoped. My only very small suggestion would have been to have stronger water pressure in the shower. Some of my family did not find the beds comfortable but I thought there were great. I appreciated Irene meeting us to orient us to the area and the apartment, and the gal who ensured that we were all set with our water taxi on the day of our departure.
